The Heartbeat Behind the Music

We have all seen the meaningless re-posts on social media about people who do little things for society and they film themselves as they do it. Sadly, the reality is that the people who give selflessly often go unnoticed. The American Red Cross has passed on selfless donations of blood from many men and women in America. Their names are not going viral over Facebook or anything like that, but they don't care. These are the people who deserve our heartfelt thanks. You don't go unnoticed by us at Hans-On.

In celebration of all that the American Red Cross and their donors has done, Danny Felpson, Don Hanson, Ben Richardson, and other teachers will be hosting a Concert here at Hans-On. We'll give a Red Cross T-shirt to the first 20 guests. Tickets are $20 and all the profits will be donated to American Red Cross. Come show your support on Friday, March 4th at 6:00pm. Your visit can keep hearts beating. We look forward to seeing you!

Coffee and donuts will be served in the lobby.

Living the Aventures at "Reel to Real"

Good film makers are very hard to come by, but the number one goal of any film maker (at least, in my eyes) is that they take you to the scene they are showing. But you know, you can't really go there, because it's just a film... or can you?
My perceptions of such were crushed after a exhilarating adventure at a "Press Play" event at "Reel-to-Real Adventures" The beautiful places from many films we have seen brought us into the scenes of our favorite films!
Our team was looking for a good way to take a break from constant music, because as we all know, too much sitting begins to dull musical creativity. Music has to take you places, and in order for that to happen, you have to be able to go to the places were your music is trying to bring you.
The highland scenes immediately caused me to hear roaring bagpipes echoing through my mind. The team started looking into DADGAD Celtic tuning, dulcimers, flutes, and bagpipes right after the event. The Lounge has turned into the same adventuresome scenes we saw at Reel to Real. Sounds like the highlands in there.
L.C. Mackie came to the lounge after our visit to the "Press Play", and immediately was welcomed by the team members. He sees the importance of music in film making, and because of that, he's best friends with our team.
Long and short of it, go live the adventure!

Guitar Teaching Guest at Hans-On

Citation
Want an electric guitar lesson that will change the way you play guitar forever? You don't know a avid guitarist until you meet Danny Felpson! Danny will be coming to Hans-On Music Lounge on Wednesday 2/17 and will be doing a seminar on "Inspiring Music". Non-musicians will become avid ones after hearing this guy. He's got more tips than most guitarists I know. Danny's seminar will begin at 7pm. Prizes and drawings will be offered at the door.
Says Danny, "In August of 2012, I turned down a full-time position at the Colorado Conservatory of Music in order to keep my lesson studio and program completely independent. I am currently the founding instructor and director of the Rock And Pop Club at the Colorado Conservatory of Music."
Refreshments will be served after 9pm. Believe me, you don't want to miss this!
